Here at Recruit.net we’re constantly working to refine our product offerings and to provide our users with as many tools as possible to enable smarter, more informed job search decisions.

With this in mind, we have partnered with Payscale.com to provide our users with a simple, one click solution to deliver indicative salary information for job listings which interest them.

How it works is that every time you search for a job, the summary search result page will have a “Research Salary” link next to each ad summary. Clicking on that link will prompt you with a region-specific annual salary bracket in local currency for that role or its closes approximation.

From there it only gets better; if you want an in depth salary analysis for the role you have your eye on, you click on the “Next” link within the information window and continue onto Payscale’s site to order it online. Up to date, detailed salary data can be put to very good use in situations such as:

- Wanting to negotiate a salary with a new employer, or reviewing your pay with your current company.

- Considering career or roles changes and wanting to know what the financial implication of making such a change is

- Wanting to know how much a potential romantic interest of yours makes (hey, the more information the better right?), etc.

Obviously, employers that visit us can also benefit of both the indicative salary information on the recruit.net site, or request a salary benchmark study to ensure your remuneration levels are on market.

The service has been released first in Australia and India; the rest of the recruit.net network countries will follow as Payscale finalizes the compilation of salary information for those geographies

We trust the salary info is of value to you; in any case, please let us know what you think of this service. We’re keen to get your feedback and comments.

We’ve just launched our latest feature, recruit.net jobindex(sm), which allows the user to plot job trends based on keywords and locations. This job index is based on historical job data from thousands of online sources aggregated as part of our recruit.net job search engine service. They include jobs posted on corporate web sites, job boards, recruitment agencies, online classifieds and newspapers.

Users can plot job index trends within Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Singapore, as well as an international job index for comparing different countries.

As we index more sites within our job search engine, the job index will become a useful indicator of the underlying job trends driven by demand for talent in various industries and countries.

Try it out and let us know what you think!
